Israel’s Jaffa region was hit by a terrorist attack, followed by Iran’s launch of 181 ballistic missiles. The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Isreal immediately issued a security advisory and confirmed the safety of the diaspora.
Taiwan, together with the United States, Britain, France and other democratic countries, condemns Iran for aggravating the situation in the Middle East and calls on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid regional war.
A “lone wolf” terrorist attack occurred in the Jaffa area of Israel on the evening of the 1st, followed by 181 ballistic missiles fired by Iran throughout Israel.
The Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Israel issued a security bulletin as soon as the incident occurred, and immediately kept in touch with the Taiwanese expatriates and students living in Israel to confirm the safety of all expatriates and remind everyone to be vigilant and pay attention to their own safety.
The delegation said that it will continue to pay close attention to the development of the situation in the region and fully fulfill its responsibility to protect the expatriates.
After the Iran’s attack, United States President Joe Biden and White House National Security Adviser Jake Sullivan condemned Iran’s actions. Taiwan immediately joined democracies such as United States, United Kingdom, France, Germany, Spain and Japan in condemning Iran’s misconduct in exacerbating the situation in the Middle East and calling on all parties to exercise restraint and avoid triggering a regional war.
Boaz Toporovsky, the member of Israel Congress, led a delegation of Israel parliamentarians to visit Taiwan in April this year to express condolences for the earthquake in Taiwan and affirmed the resilience of Taiwan society in dealing with disasters, and today he posted on social media, retweeting and thanking Taiwan for its statement, expressing support for Taiwan’s condemnation of Iran’s actions, and demonstrating the unity of the camp of democratic countries.

在伊朗發動攻擊後，美國總統拜登及白宮國家安全顧問蘇利文對伊朗的行為表示譴責。台灣隨即與美國、英國、法國、德國、西班牙及日本等民主國家共同譴責伊朗加劇中東局勢的不當行為，並呼籲各方保持克制，以避免引發區域戰爭。
以色列國會友台小組主席杜伯斯基，曾於今年4月率領「以色列國會議員訪問團」訪問台灣，對台灣發生的大地震表達慰問，並肯定台灣社會應對災害的高度韌性。今天他在社交媒體上發文，轉發並感謝台灣發表的聲明，表達對台灣譴責伊朗行動的支持，彰顯民主國家陣營的團結一致。
