Ko Wen-je（柯文哲）, former mayor of Taipei City and chairman of the Taiwan People’s Party, was detained with incommunicado by the Taipei District Court because of the Core Pacific City case （京華城）.
The People’s Party held a rally on Jinan Road next to the Legislative Yuan this evening, to support Ko Wen-je and to shout that procedures should be just, and justice should be fair.
According to the statistics of the People’s Party, the maximum number of participants at the scene reached nearly 20,000, and the crowd went all the way from the gate of the Qunxian Building of the Legislative Yuan all the way to Linsen South Road.
Besides the People’s Party official, Taichung City Government adviser Tsai Pi-ru (蔡壁如) and Hsinchu City Acting Mayor Chiu Chen-yuan (邱臣遠) were present, former President Ma Ying-jeou’s office executive Shiau Shiu-tsen(蕭旭岑) also took the stage.
Shiau Shiu-tsen saying that although Ma Ying-jeou and Ko Wen-je are not familiar with each other, Ma Ying-jeou was also slandered and murdered for his personality because of judicial cases, so he empathized with Ko Wen-je’s experience during this time, and he was present not only to show solidarity with Ko Wen-je, but also to support the trampled judicial system, and called for unity among the opposition parties.
Video clips of Vice Mayor Pong Cheng-sheng’s approval before the 783rd meeting of the Taipei City Planning Commission were also shown, as well as a video recorded by Ko Wen-je before he was detained. Ko Wen-je said in the film that the most serious problem in Taiwan society now is the lack of justice, too many people speak through the media, the judiciary and the media have become political tools, he hopes that the judiciary has basic justice, and also hopes that Taiwan is a normal country.
Ko Wen-je’s wife, Peggy Chen (陳佩琪), was the last one came to the stage, emphasizing that Ko’s indifference to life would not be a profit-making or corrupt person, and denied the situation of the search which is described by the prosecutor, emphasizing that Ko Wen-je didn’t destroy any evidence.

除了民眾黨的公職人員外，台中市府顧問蔡壁如和新竹市代理市長邱臣遠也出席了活動。前總統馬英九的辦公室執行長蕭旭岑上台發言，表示雖然馬英九與柯文哲並不熟識，但馬英九曾因司法案件遭受誣陷和人格攻擊，因此對柯文哲近期的遭遇深有同感。他的到來不僅是為了聲援柯文哲，也是在支持受到侵害的司法體系，並呼籲在野黨團結一致。
現場播放了台北市都市計畫委員會第783次會議中，前副市長彭振聲所拍板通過的影片片段，以及柯文哲在被羈押前錄製的一段視頻。柯文哲在影片中指出，當前台灣社會面臨的最嚴重問題是司法缺乏公正，許多人透過媒體發聲，導致司法和媒體成為政治的工具。他希望司法能夠保持基本的公正，並期盼台灣能成為一個正常的國家。
柯文哲的妻子陳佩琪最後登台發言，強調柯文哲對生活的淡然，並表示他不會是圖利或貪污的人。她還否認了搜索當天的情況，強調柯文哲絕對沒有所謂的滅證行為。
